    Description

    Antique Burmese temple monk Dha sword
    The Burmese forest monk has a traditional Muay Burma Boran ( Burmese martial arts ) sword form on the ancient grounds of Mandalay Kingdom, Myanmar. At the yearly temple festival, by some of monks or the local warriors, they are represented to demonstrate the actual fighting with sword weapons.
    This Burmese Dha sword was used to show as a demonstration combat sports Festival.
    The whole sword is 32 inc.hes long and 1.5 - 2 inches wide.
    The sword is 29 inches long , the solid steel blade 21.5 inches long and may occurs some places with an oxidation , and a handle 8.5 inches long with the floral flower carving designs and covered with the nature brown resin.
    The scabbard is 23 inches long and typically two strips of wood , then are bound together with rattan string , and painted yellow and brown covered with resinous materials.  The both sides have the Spirit Deva stamp on the wood which an unique decoration ( see more details as picture # 6 )
    It is rare and an unique piece from the last 19th Century period.
